About SilverStripe

Silverstripe

There are a lot of open source Content Management Systems (CMS) available just take a look at http://www.opensourcecms.com/. Among the most popular are Joomla, Typo, Drupal and Wordpress. Silverstripe is a newcomer on the charts. Its foundation is build on other more robust and mature elements and the technical focus has been on modularity and extensibility whereas the presentational focus has been on user friendliness ensuring simplicity and hiding the seldom used functionality.

You can try a demo on http://demo.silverstripe.com/

I have already been implementing three sites using Silverstripe and have only been surprised about its robustness having in mind that its an open source project.

It has a very active community and a huge knowledgebase and documentation including very well written tutorials.

I have just presented a business case where I have embedded groovy scripts in a J2EE application.
The presentation can be read in the pdf-file found under "Referencer".
